Emma C. Berry at Dale Yacht Basin Bay Head, New Jersey Circa 1935 Slade Dale donated the Emma C. Berry to Mystic Seaport where she resides today after being restored to her original sloop rigging. The shed on the dock has been restored and is displayed at the Bay Head Historical Society. |

F. Slade Dale was a well known yachtsman and marina owner. This black and white photo collection encompasses about three thousand images taken over a period of approximately thirty five years. The vast majority of the photos are from the 1930s and center around Slade's sailing adventures and his home and business in Bay Head, New Jersey. Samples of this collection will appear here as photos and negatives are converted to digital format and restored. |
